Experimental Equipment:

The Computational Materials Research Group works closely with other reseach groups, who have an experimental emphasis, at the University of Tennessee. These research groups share time on their equipment with CMRG. The Thermophysical Properties Measurement Laboratory has a wide variety of equipment to measure vapor pressures, densities, heat capacities, and other thermophysical properties. The UT Polymer Rheology Laboratory has two rheometers, including a capillary rheometer (ACER) and a cone and plate rheometers (ARES), as well as other equipment. This lab can also measure elongational viscosities using semi-hyperbolically converging dies.
